SCREENINGS

During the year, your child will have the following routine screenings done in school:

  • height and weight
  • vision (the commission for the blind will do vision screenings in the spring)
  • hearing (it is very difficult to perform accurate hearing screening in a school setting at this age)
  • blood pressure

HEALTHY EATING:

Children who eat a healthy breakfast are more alert in school and perform better.  The following website has information about the new revised food pyramid.
