Hip Hop – Samsel Elementary School’s Geography Frog

This year at the UES, students learn Geography by traveling with our little frog, Hip Hop. Each morning, the students are introduced to a word that teaches map skills, facts about the continents, or land formations etc. They can also travel with Hip Hop, as they visit places with their families. When they return, their experiences are shared with the faculty , students and staff. They take pictures with the frog and these are displayed by the main office. The student receives a certificate, a pencil and a sticker, and we all learn information about the areas visited!

Hip Hop has traveled thousands of miles to England, India, Pakistan, and areas in our own USA, such as California and Arizona!  (click on a picture to enlarge)
