School Information
The Upper Elementary School is home
to all of Sayreville's 4th and 5th graders. Student classes
are grouped in teams of two classes who rotate between their three major
subject teachers for Language Arts - Literacy and Math/Science/Social Studies.
Additionally, students attend Physical
Education as well as Specials (Art, Music, &
World Language- SPANISH). Technology is integrated throughout
the curriculum with Technology Specialists and content area teachers
working cooperatively.
SCHOOL HOURS ARE 8:45am - 3:00pm
Delayed Opening 10:15am - 3:00pm
Early dismissal 8:45am - 1:15pm
PROMOTION &
RETENTION POLICY
Pupils eligible for promotion shall pass Language Arts and
Mathematics. In addition, each pupil shall pass Social Studies
or Science/Health, Physical Education or World Language and one
special. (Art or Music)

Take the RT-36 exit- exit number 117- toward
RT-35/HAZLET/KEYPORT/ABERDEEN. Merge onto NJ-36 E. Take the
RT-35 ramp toward MATAWAN/HAZLET/MIDDLETOWN. Merge onto NJ-35 S.
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT. Turn LEFT onto NJ-35 S. Turn RIGHT onto
