Team 4-3 Learns About Careers in Math
As part of
our year long initiative “Careers in Math” we planned a visit
from a local Sayreville bank to come in and talk to the
students about how important math is in banking and more
important in life.
On
Thursday, May 22, 2008 we had a very special visit from Ms.
Dawn Wolski, Assistant Branch Manager at Garden State
Community Bank. She came in and discussed with the students
the importance of math, writing a check and balancing a
checkbook. The students were given blank checks and learned
the importance of paying bills and how to keep track of their
records. The students learned that it is not always easy to
keep track of money and how you need to be organized and know
your MATH FACTS!! Thank you to GSCB and Ms. Dawn Wolski for
reaching out and educating our students.
