The mission
of the Harry S Truman School, a kindergarten through grade three
elementary school, is to provide a nurturing environment, where
children feel safe to take risks, and to empower themselves with
academic and social skills to become enthusiastic life-long
learners. This will be accomplished by working in close
partnership with parents and community to provide child-centered
programs, which recognize and build on the unique potential of
each child.
We aim to instill in our students a sense of values leading
to respect for others and their differences, the ability to work
with others, a sense of responsibility for the environment,
community and world. It is our hope that the time spent at
Truman School will provide children with the desire for learning
now and in the future.
