The
Arleth Golden Awards
The
Arleth Golden Awards
are presented at a monthly assembly
to two individual students from each homeroom as well as classes who
best exhibit the character trait of the month.
Students who receive
recognition for their class walk down a red carpet to the stage
where they each receive a gold medal.
On the following school day, they are introduced on Arleth Daily
News television.
Two classes each (1 from K-Gr. 1; 1 from Gr. 2-3) are recognized for
best exemplifying the character trait of the month by the
specials teachers, librarian, and lunch room aides with the following
symbols which hang outside of their homeroom door for the
following month:
Art - a golden paintbrush
Music - a golden musical note
Library - a golden Shelf Elf
Lunch - a golden lunchbox
Phys. Ed. - a golden sneaker
Spanish - a golden piñata

The Character Trait

Being trustworthy means you keep your promises and people
can count on you to do the right thing. You are dependable.

March - Respect.
Respect means to show appreciation or consideration for others,
to treat them the way you want to be treated.
